Volunteer

Please consider volunteering for the PTO.  There are many ways to get involved.

Co-chairs are still needed for our "Day at Night" annual auction.  This event accounts for the largest percentage of our operating budget and also provides a wonderful evening out for adults in our community.

For more information or to volunteer, go to the PTO web site: www.daypto.org  or contact Joanne Raymond at 617-964-7362.
Day Directory Cover Contest

Don't miss our second annual Student Day Directory Dragon Cover contest!

To enter the contest, students should submit a black and white drawing of a dragon on an 8 ½ x 11 piece of white paper.  Be sure your student includes their name, grade and team on the back of the drawing. Drawings should be submitted to the office by Oct. 1st.

This year the Day PTO is collecting information for the Day Directory ONLINE.

If you have a new student at Day or need to make changes to your Directory information please visit www.daypto.org/directoryform.html  to submit your online form

School Council

We invite you to apply to serve on the Day School Council.  The Day School Council members have the opportunity to serve in an advisory capacity to the Principal.

We are looking for three new parent representatives to the School Council for the 2008-2009 school year.  The council meets once a month on Wednesday, alternating between afternoon and evenings.

In past years members of the School Council have worked on a number of interesting issues such as: Home-School Communications, Signage Around The Building, Technology Grants and the School Improvement Plan.

If you are interested please submit an application.

Thank You

Our school year began with a wonderful Teacher/Staff Appreciation Lunch on September 3rd.  A warm thank you to all of the Day families that contributed their time and food.  A special thank you to Lisa Conti and Nancy Brown for organizing this wonderful annual beginning-of-the-year event for Day staff!

The PTO's New Parent Coffee was held on the morning of September 8th.   The Day Back-to-School picnic happened that evening.   We hope you were able to join us and reconnect with other Day families.  A huge thank you to Annette Seaward and Maureen Sullivan, Co-chairs of the Hospitality Committee, for their wonderful help with these events.

Thank you to David McDade for providing lively music for our picnic!
